 During Hurricane Sandy, we    opened our hearts and our doors to our clients and to local residents that needed to warm up, use the internet, take a hot shower, wash their hair 
and even offered blow-dry services to all, at no charge.  It was our pleasure...

The Disaster Relief Fund, formed by the Professional Beauty Association, is particularly dear to us at Richard Scott Salon and Day Spa as we are no strangers to the devastating effects of a fire in 2007. 

Our business was nearly wiped out but thankfully we were able to rebuild and survive due to the help of other salons that housed our staff for 5 months. With your support, we can help other hairdressers just as they helped us..

We had the privilege of attending the Hairdressers Helping Hairdressers (HHH) benefit for beauty professionals impacted by Hurricane Sandy. Our staff, my partner Joseph Norris and I, have been so greatly moved by the show of support at the event. We are continuing the efforts to help our fellow hairdressers who lost their homes and businesses and all their possessions..

PBA disaster relief fund
On March 13th we will be hosting an event along with Elle Magazine and P&G Professional, to raise funds and awareness for hairdressers and other victims working in the beauty industry. There will be raffles, gift baskets and a chance to nominate the Shining Stars of Mt. Kisco. With your help we can send your donations to the PBA and be proud for our contributions. 
Look for our email invitation being sent out early next month.
 
The PBA Disaster Relief Fund was established in 1955 to assist salons in rebuilding following the devastation of natural disaster. Over the course of five decades, the fund has been there for professionals in times of dire need. 
 
PBA is asking us make tax deductible donations to the PBA Disaster Fund- a unique effort that provides 100% of all funds raised directly to professional beauty industry professionals in need.
