Spa ›Frequently Asked Questions
When should I arrive for my appointment?
Please plan on arriving 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to get checked in, changed and relaxed, and to allow time to discuss your personalized treatment with the therapist. Arriving late will deprive you of precious treatment time since your service will end as scheduled to ensure that the next client begins on time.
Do I have to take off all my clothing?
Most people do, but it's up to you. Remove as much, or as little, clothing as you feel comfortable with, keeping in mind that you will be appropriately draped with sheets or towels during treatment.
Can I request a male or female therapist?
Yes, but it does limit your treatment options. Therapists are trained professionals and will keep you draped with sheets or towels throughout the treatment.
Can I talk to my therapist during the treatment?
Most people find it more relaxing not to engage in conversation; but we do encourage you to communicate with your therapist about pressure, technique, and especially any discomfort you might experience. It's your treatment - we want you to get the most out of it.
Should I tip my therapist?
As in all service industries, gratuities are customary. Good service is generally acknowledged with a 15% tip, and excellence with 20%. If your treatment did not meet your expectations or was not wholly satisfactory to you, please let us know before you leave. We value your feedback and look for opportunities to improve our services and better your experience. Comment cards are on the reception desk if you prefer to let us know in writing.
